Our approach
We establish your priorities, operating context and the consequences that matter.
We examine the real exposure—people, assets, reputation, compliance and delivery.
You receive clear, proportionate actions that can be owned, implemented and verified.
Why ASCOPE?
The name comes from a military operational-planning framework used to understand the wider environment: Areas, Structures, Capabilities, Organisations, People and Events.
These six perspectives reflect how we approach risk—looking beyond the immediate hazard to understand the people, systems, surroundings and events that could influence an organisation, project or individual.

The perspective behind ASCOPE
“Risk advice should make action clearer—not create more paperwork.”
ASCOPE is led by Thomas Shannon, whose career spans more than two decades across the Armed Forces, the UK Special Forces Reserve, specialist protective security, construction and SHEQ leadership.
His experience includes operational deployments, leading and supporting the protection of private clients and high-value assets in the UK and overseas, and managing safety, environmental, quality and operational risk within complex engineering environments.
This breadth allows ASCOPE to combine disciplined operational judgement with discreet, practical and commercially aware advice grounded in how people and projects actually operate.
